Blossomway Back in the Swing of Things
As concerns about meeting in person have subsided, Blossomway Garden Club has welcomed opportunities to get back together during the past three months. Our August meeting was held during the Henry County Fair.
Blossomway club members were stationed at the potted plant exhibit where we greeted exhibitors and helped them select categories for their plants. Apparently, our community has spent many hours during the pandemic tending to their plants as evidenced by the enormous amount of entries in the potted plant exhibit.
In September we took a road trip to the Butterfly Garden at Reelfoot Lake. The butterflies, garden art displays, and plant varieties left us all inspired to get out and enjoy gardening as the weather cooled.
Blossomway was pleased to host the Paris Garden Club for our annual joint meeting in October. Everyone “hatted” up and joined in the fun as member Doris Davis presented a program on formal tea service.
